The Great Western Hotel will undergo a partial refurbishment of 26 bedrooms for a 12 week period from the 19th January 2026. Part of the property will be covered by scaffolding whilst construction works take place. The hotel aims to help prevent as much disruption as possible for our valued guests during this time.

Set on a cliff, Great Western is just 200 metres from Newquay Railway Station. Newquay Cornwall Airport is a 15-minute drive away, and the sandy Tolcarne Beach is four minutes walk away from the the property. Fistral Beach is 15 minutes walk away.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 10:30.

Early check in is available from 13:00 pm at an additional cost of GBP 20.00. Please contact the hotel to arrange this.

Late check out is available until 12:00 pm at an additional cost of GBP 20.00

Signature View Double. These rooms have coastal and garden views and an en-suite bathroom. Also include a flat-screen TV, teacoffee making facilities and a hairdryer. ;
Single Room. This room has an en suite bathroom, a flat-screen TV, teacoffee making facilities and a hairdryer. These rooms have simple décor, and do not have sea views. ;
Standard Double Room. These rooms vary in size and overlook the adjacent buildings and hotel service areas, and may experience some noise. ;
Signature View Family. Spacious contemporary room with modern en-suite bathroom, Vi-Spring beds and sofa bed. These rooms have coastal views of either the sea or Great Western Beach. ;
Deluxe Suite. This double room has an electric kettle. These rooms are located at the front of the property and overlook the road and front car park. Clean and comfortable, these rooms are at the front of the hotel overlooking the road. They have been updated with new soft furnishings and modern bathrooms. ;
